This delicate white tea has a clean taste faintly reminiscent of fresh apples. Refreshing with a lovely lingering flavor. A very rare tea in China. Superior-grade Peony White Needle is the best available in its class and very rare, hence its high cost. It offers a delicate lingering fragrance and a fresh mellow sweet taste devoid of astringency or grassy flavor, and a shimmering clear infusion. Its hand-plucked leaves are grayish white surrounding a silver bud and covered with a silvery white down. It has three times as many antioxidant polyphenols as green or black tea.
